Located at 650 Alliance Parkway, this impressive facility is the brainchild of a group of Baylor University graduates who have turned their passion for rock climbing into a community-centric venture.
A Vision Brought to Life
Last year, the founders broke ground on this ambitious project. Trinity Robb, one of the four founders, along with Jessica Colley and the married couple Carley and Steel Ferguson, has worked tirelessly to bring this dream to life. Robb, an outdoor recreation enthusiast, saw a gap in the local climbing community and aimed to fill it with a top-tier climbing facility that everyone could enjoy.
Features of the Gym
Fast forward to today, and Basin Climbing and Fitness appears to be almost ready to open its doors! The gym features various climbing walls, including 14 to 16-foot bouldering walls and a 34-foot top rope wall. The gym also includes dedicated spaces for children. Beyond climbing, the gym offers a yoga studio, workout area, and spaces for birthday parties, making it a comprehensive fitness hub.
Community Focus
What sets Basin apart is its community focus. The founders chose the name “Basin” to symbolize a place of gathering and new beginnings, much like the natural basins at the base of mountains.

Hewitt Mayor Steve Fortenberry and Greater Hewitt Chamber of Commerce board President Michael Wyatt are excited about the gym’s potential to benefit the local community.
