TurnUp Waco, founded by the dynamic and passionate owner, Hope Balfa, is more than just a dance studio—it’s a sanctuary of self-expression, confidence, and resilience.
When Hope discovered TurnUp dance fitness during quarantine, she knew she had to be involved. Hope completed her instructor certification in May 2022. After the success of many TurnUp dance fitness pop-ups, the next step was to expand to a studio.
Hope envisioned a space where women could come together to learn the art of hip-hop dance, not only as a form of exercise but also as a vehicle for personal growth and empowerment. Her vision was clear: to create a safe and inclusive environment for women of all backgrounds and abilities to discover their strength and confidence through dance.
Finding a Space to Dream
Turning dreams into reality requires a physical space, and Hope knew she needed a location that would match her vision. That’s when Xavier, commercial specialist from the Onward Real Estate team, entered the picture. Hope reached out to Xavier about a commercial listing he posted on social media. They then met to discuss her intentions for the space and what she was looking for.
Xavier scoured Waco for spaces for Hope’s dream studio, with Hope driving around and looking as well. Xavier called the properties, reporting the information back to Hope so that she could make the most informed decision. Hope had heard of their now studio space from a friend. Xavier called the owner and after learning about and viewing the space, they decided it was the one for Hope. The lease was executed just a few days later.
Hope wholeheartedly endorses working with Xavier and the Onward Real Estate Team. Prior to collaborating with Xavier, Hope’s attempts to contact properties often went unanswered. Having a professional real estate agent on your side ensures that you receive proper representation and respect in the competitive world of buyers and sellers.
TurnUp Waco was Xavier’s first commercial property client. It taught him the significance of establishing genuine relationships with every client, and showed Hope the impact that an approachable real estate agent has.
The Onward Real Estate Team continues to do real estate differently by forming relationships as a way to impact individuals and the community. Learn more in the video below!
