Scheduled to open its doors on April 1st, the newest addition to the Buc-ee family is almost here. As the countdown to opening day continues, preparations are well underway. Hillsboro Economic Development Director Art Mann shares, “The goal is to be able to open April 1. I met with the general manager a couple of weeks ago, and they’re going to be starting the hiring process in the first part of February.”
The hiring process is set to bring around 185 full-time and part-time employees on board. For those eager to join the Buc-ee’s team, applications can be submitted online through the company’s website. Additionally, an in-person hiring event took place in Waco at the end of February.
One factor influencing the opening date is the upcoming Great American Eclipse on April 8th. With tens of thousands of people expected to flock to Hillsboro, Texas to witness this celestial event, Buc-ee’s aims to capitalize on the influx of visitors by opening its doors just in time to welcome them.
